Why Scanning Conditions Matter

Temperature differential, sun and wind decide what an infrared scan can see.

Thermal cameras read differences. If everything is the same temperature, nothing stands out. The best scans are done when the building is under a steady temperature difference, often in the evening or early morning.

Direct sun heats surfaces unevenly; wind strips heat off roofs and walls. Both can hide or fake anomalies. Experienced surveys plan around weather rather than forcing the appointment.

If a survey is rushed into bad conditions, the report will be full of maybes. Rescheduling is cheaper than re-doing work.
